Winter is the most interesting time to go to the beach. There I found stones, shells and the beach glass below. Lake Erie's waves were frozen, so the beach stretched farther than normal and the debris was plentiful.

My exploration inspired this sketchbook collage featuring a rocky beach scene framed by blue water and set upon a background of the inside of a security envelope.

my daughter can't wait until spring to come - we go down to the lake (lake Erie) and collect beach glass. She has a huge collection. Never thought of going in the winter.
